ORGANIZATIONS IN THE HISTORY OF THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY IN WISCONSIN

Organizations formed by LGBTQ people in Wisconsin are as diverse as the people and interests who form and populate them.

Roughly they encompass Activism and Political action; the Arts; Business groups; Health; Leather; Social; and Sports groups, to name the most common. Each group typically had founders, leaders and followers, all doing their part to form and put into action the purpose of that group, and maintain the organization over time.

This section explores organizations and groups of all types that have been identified thus far.
