This month's event really shook up the formula. Because PrideFest had its opening day on the same day we traditionally do our Takeover, we decided to hold our party AFTER PrideFest let out for the night, at Midnight. To further shake things up, we only told people where to meet us, not where the actual Takeover was! We had people meet us outside the Italian Community Center (a block from the PrideFest main entrance and exit), and there we gave people stickers and walked or sent them to the target: the Milwaukee Ale House, about 3 blocks away.Unfortunately, attendance was down from our normal- could have been becayuse of the uncertainty of people where we would be, the late hour, people being worn out already from PrideFest, or any number of reasons. But those who did attend generally reported having a good time.

There's no rest for the wicked, and there's definitely no rest for Milwaukee Guerrilla Gay Bar! Even though it's Pridefest weekend in Milwaukee, we have a full itinerary of events to bedazzle you for the NEXT THREE DAYS!
This month, we are shaking up the formula a bit to allow EVERYONE to enjoy the Pridefest event. Instead of hosting our usual 9:30PM takeover, MGGB will be striking later than usual this month! As Pridefest closes for the night, our Street Team will be recruiting YOU for our invasion of our takeover target.
How does it work?
***AT MIDNIGHT, MEET UP WITH OUR MGGB STREET TEAM IN FRONT OF THE ITALIAN COMMUNITY CENTER AT THE CORNER OF JACKSON AND CHICAGO STREETS. LOOK FOR THE LOGO -- OUR STREET TEAM WILL BE WEARING IT!!****
So what is this month's target? That's the catch. We're not revealing ANYTHING until you show up! This month we are going truly, totally, completely.. .....TOP SECRET!
What we can tell you:
- The target is within walking distance of Pridefest - no need to move your cars!
- There is no cover charge!
- The target is definitely a STRAIGHT bar that is just itching to be TAKEN OVER!
Due to the late start for our Takeover Event, we will NOT be hosting a MGGB Official After Party and Raffle!
Attendance at the Takeover: about 140 queers and friends
(There was no After-Party or Raffle this month, due to the Takeover not starting until Midnight.)
