Very little is known about The Mayfair Lounge. It is believed to have opened approximately 1965 and was primarily straight, but later become somewhat popular with gays and lesbians.

The Spartacus American Bicentennial Gay Guide (1976) described it as "More straight than gay and not as open as Gail's, this place is somewhat popular with the older crowd."

The history of LGBT bars in Northeastern Wisconsin was the subject of an excellent article in the Green Bay Press Gazette in 2020.

More information about this business is welcomed from anyone who can contribute it.
