The Belmont Hotel Coffee Shop was apparently a gay "hang out" in the 1960s. It was listed in national Gay Bar Guides from 1962 to 1971. In fact, a presumably true "gay bar", Gaytime Bar, was listed in guides as being right next door from about 1965 to 1967. Very little else is known about the agy history of this hotel bar.

More information about this business is welcomed from anyone who can contribute it.
