History of Gay and Lesbian Life in Wisconsin - Print Media - The UWM Post

UWM Post- Gallery of LGBT articles

The UWM Post is not an LGBT Publication. However, it was an early voice for the Gay movement in the 1970s and 1980s, largely because gay student organizations at UWM (University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee) were some of the first LGBT organizations in the state. This page shows some of the articles from the UWM Post that indicate the progress of the gay liberation movement in Wisconsin.
